Colorado has it all – mountains, water, and beautiful views. For Madeline and David’s Colorado mountain engagement, I wanted to capture both their beautiful personalities as well as the beautiful state they now call home.
After meeting on a dating app, Madeline and David’s relationship developed into both an amazing friendship and romance. Between crossfit, hiking, scuba diving, and exploring the world, these two have created a bond to last a lifetime.
David was able to pull off a feat not many are able to accomplish – pull off a surprise proposal. You’d be surprised to hear how many proposals aren’t full surprises!
The day before the proposal, David told Madeline that they were going to go on a double date hike with a trip to Wayfarers Chapel (look up the chapel if you’re unfamiliar – it’s stunning!). Wayfarers Chapel is actually where Madeline and David went on their second date as well. After a morning workout, they made the drive to the chapel in the pouring rain. Somehow David was able to convince Madeline to walk to the front of the chapel, and that’s where he got on one knee and proposed! The rain made the morning proposal both intimate and beautiful for them, as there was no one else to witness the magic of the moment (except for a friend who was hiding behind a tree and taking photos!).
Madeline and David have been such a wonderful gift to my life. Since my first call with Madeline, I knew that these two are the kindest, most genuine souls. Their engagement session was further proof of that. Our time together in the Colorado mountains passed too quickly due to their infectious laughter and sincere smiles.
And guess what? Madeline and David actually had their wedding last weekend! Scroll to the bottom for a sneak peek from their big day.
And a preview from their wedding day!
