Jess and Alex chose to celebrate their upcoming wedding by taking engagement photos in the West Village in New York City. New York City is home to a plethora of engagement photo locations, but the West Village is the best spot for the city’s iconic brownstones.
In the early spring, the West Village has a fresh energy to it as residents are eagerly anticipating the longer days of summer. Heaters are slowly pulled into restaurants, and more people actively enjoy the outdoor dining options as winter coats are left at home.

Jess and Alex chose to have their engagement photos taken in the West Village in New York City is actually a vital location in the story of their relationship. It’s where they spent time cultivating their love, and they wanted a location that commemorates that chapter of their relationship. The engagement session is truly an opportunity to capture an important piece of your love story that cannot be expressed on the wedding day, such as a second location that is meaningful to you.
Because Jess works in fashion, she was amazing when it came to pulling style options for her and Alex. Jess went with a timeless white Ralph Lauren midi dress, where Alex went for a stylish sport coat that complimented the colors of the West Village.
Jess and Alex’s engagement session began in Central Park, then a cab took us to Jess and Alex’s apartment for a quick wardrobe change. After some time exploring the streets, we stopped by Jess and Alex’s favorite restaurant for a quick bite before traveling to the Edge, a new New York City attraction.
Jess and Alex, thank you for allowing me to capture these beautiful memories for you!
