Hailey and Ben chose to celebrate their upcoming wedding by taking summer engagement photos at Piney River Ranch near Vail, Colorado. About two hours from Denver is the beautiful mountain town of Vail, Colorado. The journey to Vail ski resort is well worth the drive, with breathtaking views and rugged landscapes.

During the summer, Piney River Ranch is the quintessential summer engagement photo destination. There is a gorgeous lake that can be traversed via canoe, wildflowers decorating the fields, and aspen leaves dancing in the breeze.

Hailey and Ben chose to have their engagement photos taken at Piney River Ranch because they wanted to share with their friends and family what makes their new home of Colorado so incredibly gorgeous. Coming from the east coast, Hailey and Ben are new to having beautiful hiking trails and other mountain adventures in such close proximity.

For their Piney River Ranch summer engagement photos, Hailey and Ben were very intentional with the outfits they styled. For Hailey’s formal look, she wanted a dress that suited her relaxed personality that also complimented the gorgeous Colorado summer colors. For Ben’s formal look, he wanted to pair his favorite shirt in pants together in a way that felt very authentic to him. For Hailey and Ben’s casual looks, they styled together outfits that are similar to what they would wear for a local date night at home.

Piney River Ranch is slightly off the beaten path, with a forty minute drive from I-70 on a long and winding dirt road. The journey is worth the adventure when the final destination includes these gorgeous, serene mountains. Piney River Ranch is also a wedding venue, glamping destination, and activities provider with boats, hikes, and more Colorado adventures.
