Nicole and Brian’s Estes Park Engagement session was beyond beautiful. When in Estes Park, Colorado, you have to go to Rocky Mountain National Park.
For these photos, we explored the areas around Bear Lake and Moraine Park. Both areas are very accessible by car – no hiking required! That means you can dress as cute as you want for engagement photos without hiking boots.
Nicole and Brian wanted to celebrate their engagement photos by Bear Lake because this area of the park is one of their go-to spots for taking family and friends visiting the state of Colorado. Bear Lake provides some of the most gorgeous views of Estes Park, as well as Moraine Park. There is so much natural beauty to take in with Colorado!
Although the hiking trails in Rocky Mountain National Park aren’t dog-friendly, you are able to bring your dog into the park. Your furry, four-legged friend is allowed to go essentially wherever a car can go – main roads, campgrounds, etc. With that, Nicole and Brian brought their third member of the family, Ellie. She was an absolute star modeling while capturing Nicole and Brian’s love.
After exploring Bear Lake, we drove over to Moraine Park to capture more of the natural beauty of the Colorado Rockies. Although it was windy, we worked with it and captured some dreamy shots of Nicole’s dress flowing in the breeze. These two were so fun and adventurous, their joyful energy truly translates through the camera.
I truly believe that the experience of the engagement session is just as important (if not, more important) than the photos. Being a wedding photographer in Colorado, engagement sessions are an opportunity to explore a beautiful landscape that you love or that you’ve always wanted to visit. For Nicole and Brian, there was no better place to do so than in Rocky Mountain National Park for their Estes Park engagement photos.
